Tax Preparation Services

Failure to file a tax return is a serious issue that could include criminal penalties and possible jail time. If you don’t file a return, the IRS will do it for you. However, the tax will be calculated based on the income information they have on file without credit for allowable deductions or exemptions. The amount of taxes they compute can be many times higher than the amount that would be owed considering all allowable deductions and exemptions.

You have the right to file your original tax return, no matter how late it's filed. Contact Advantage Tax Relief Inc for the assistance you need. We can prepare and file past-due returns to help reduce the amounts owed and help avoid any harsh penalties.

Further, the IRS will not entertain any type of tax resolution, either an Offer in Compromise, Currently Not Collectible, or payment plan, until you are in compliance and up-to-date with your tax returns.

IRS Transcript Requests and Reviews

You have the legal right to see, and the IRS must disclose how they calculated the back taxes and penalties that they claim you owe.

Either through a Power of Attorney (Form 2848) or a Tax Information Authorization (Form 8821) that you grant to Advantage Tax Relief Inc, we can secure your complete IRS file. The IRS files, known as transcripts, will then be reviewed and interpreted for you. The transcripts will reveal your history with the IRS and if any mistakes were made.

Yes, the IRS does make mistakes!

We have often found that mistakes by taxpayers in the submitted returns or failure to include the proper forms or schedules are the reasons for the back taxes owed. Many times the tax problem can be abated simply by filing an amended return!

Convenient Yearly Tax Return Filing

Another service we offer is the filing of your yearly tax returns. From roughly mid-January through the dreaded April 15th deadline, we are available to file your federal and state income tax returns. With our knowledge and experience in tax resolution, we extend tax planning and advice to help you avoid issues with the IRS in the first place.

To shield and help protect you from an IRS audit or theft of your tax refund, you can sign-up for our Audit / Tax Identity Theft Protection Plan. For a small fee that’s added to your tax preparation invoice, we will automatically step in and represent you before the IRS and / or state for that year. You will never have to deal directly with these taxing bodies by yourself.
